Review - Dell Inspiron 1545

Last year, Dell’s Inspiron 1525 greatly impressed us with its stunning usability and power, and it has now been superseded by the 1545. The 2.6kg chassis is slim and stylish, but the glossy plastics used are a magnet for scratches and fingerprints.
Usability is fantastic, however, and the keyboard is very comfortable to use. The Intel Core 2 Duo processor provides high performance at this price and graphics performance is also strong, so basic video and photo editing is made easy. The 15.6-inch Super-TFT screen is the best feature and image quality is outstanding. The 16:9 aspect ratio is also notable at this price, and ideal for watching widescreen movies.
A 250GB hard drive and DVD rewriter round out the package and provide excellent storage. Although some users may prefer the sturdier design of its predecessor, the Inspiron 1545 is another great consumer model from Dell.
